The names of the sculptures are important; they speak to the meaning of each piece. For instance, the large figure holding the smaller one is entitled Earth and one is left to ponder whether it is Earth holding humanity or Mother Nature holding Earth. The one with the bulls on either side is King of Atlantis. So knowing what the artist called something is a major step in understanding what it is you are seeing/experiencing.

Thanks for your comment. I had visited the garden when the museum was closed so saw the sculptures out of context. Feel free to add any aditional descriptions you like and I will gladly amend my post.
I will be very happy to do so. I also saw the Garden when the museum was closed and returned to Iceland just to get into the museum. If you like the garden, you must go to the museum. I wrote an article http://www.grapevine.is/Author/ReadArticle/MICHAELANGELO-RODIN-AND-EINAR-JÓNSSON and got some assistance in translating Jonsson’s books. His work moved me greatly although I am no artist; however, many of my friends are artists so I have been able to pass along the wonder of this great soul. I will get to noting the title for you as soon as I can.

I put the descriptions on the photos for Pranav but was not with him when he visited this particular bit of Iceland so had to describe just what I saw in the photos rather than using my “organic Ram” as Pranav called it !
